Quality Control Inspector ( Night Shift) - Lubbock, TX
Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for inspecting products to ensure they meet quality and contract specifications and meet external certification standards.
- Follow all company safety and quality requirements.
- Ensure that all materials and workmanship are completed in accordance with UL, STI, API, AWS, AISC, or City of LA standards, drawings and specifications, as applicable per site.
- Inspect materials and finished goods to ensure they meet customer requirements and/or contract specifications, including but not limited to checking welds, welding consumables, base material, cut & formed parts, layout work and coatings.
- Review welding specs and/or requirements for each project and work with team to solve fabrication challenges.
- Document and segregate non-conforming fabricated material and workmanship.
- Review and work with site management & shop supervisor to address remedies for non-conformances and their prevention.
- Insure Welding Specification Procedures (WPS) are current and in place for projects, as applicable per site.
- Supervise and/or conduct Welder Qualification Test Reports (WQTR) to AWS (D1.1 and/or D1.5) and CWB standards, as applicable per site.
- Annual calibration of welding equipment, QC inspection equipment and pre-qualifications for bolt, as applicable per site.
- Remain current with AWS CWI and City of LA Supervisor &/or Inspector licenses, code analysis, industry standards, procedures and processes, as applicable per site.
- Understand, support and implement company Quality Management System.
- Work with Quality Assurance & Site Managers and Shop Supervisor to develop annual training programs for new and experienced employees to minimize product non-conformance.
- Represent the company, as needed, on field issues requiring investigation and decisions associated with product quality and conformance.
- Apply and work within appropriate controls related to Safety and Housekeeping.
- Operate overhead crane safely.
- Willing to work flexible hours and overtime or weekends as needed.
- Prompt and dependable attendance.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALITIES
- Welding inspection training.
- Any applicable standards knowledge such as AWS, City of LA, API, UL, or STI.

Construction Services Tech - Billings, MT
Description

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Install Miscellaneous steel, egress components, and structural components in a commercial or industrial setting.
- Fit-up, weld, and clean-up of steel handrail, guardrail, stairs, and other mild steel custom components.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and blueprints.
- Operate manlifts and forklifts efficiently and safely.
- Efficiently and safely operate small power tools, such as grinders, core drills, and concrete hammer drills.
- Assist in applying caulking to expansion joints and concrete seams.
- Assist in mixing and applying flowable grout to precast joints and steel column bases.
- Unload delivery trucks either by hand or machine.
- The Construction Services Technician 1 is an entry-level position, with all work being completed with supervision.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- Frequent travel to job sites throughout the state of Montana; 2-5 days of overnight per week; weekends at home; leave for the jobs site on Monday morning and return to Billings (MT) on Friday after lunch; lodging paid for by company with $50 daily per diem for meals/incidentals.
Level 2
• The Construction Services Technician 2 is a mid-level position, with all work being completed with minimal direct supervision.
• Met all requirements of and mastered all aspects of the level 1 position.
• 3+ years of experience in steel or precast concrete installation, or related industry experience.
• Self-starter, outcome-driven attitude, and behavior.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Ability to schedule and perform work without supervision.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills, with experience learning new software (e.g., Microsoft Office and CPM scheduling platforms).
Level 3
• The Construction Services Technician 3 is a high-level position, with most work being completed without direct supervision.
• Met all requirements of and mastered all aspects of the level 1 and 2 position.
• 1+ years of supervisory experience.
• Ability to find new opportunity and growth with minimal supervision.
• OSHA 10 certification required.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Ability to schedule, direct, and manage crews at multiple locations.
• Ability to communicate and report effectively to the Construction Development Manager.
• Ability to develop creative, safe, and effective solutions to complex problems at the worksite.
• Strong ability to work and manage in a remote, off-site environment.

Fargo Welder Loan Repayment Program
Your skills are in demand, let us pay you for that investment! This loan repayment program is designed to ease the burden of student loan payments, allowing you to keep your hard-earned money in your pockets.
The payments will be made every three months to your student loan lender, with a maximum payout of $17,000. Payments may not exceed $5,667 per year, or one-third of the applicant’s outstanding student loan principal balance at the time of application, whichever is less. Payments are made over 3 years.
